The Qupedia Global Encyclopedia team, headed by the General Supervisor of the Encyclopedia, Professor Jaloud bin Dakhil, visited the Eastern Province Municipality, represented by His Excellency the Acting Deputy Secretary of the Eastern Province Municipality for Digital Transformation and Smart Cities, Engineer Nael Al-Haqil, in the context of exploring aspects of cooperation between the Encyclopedia and the Municipality in the fields of knowledge documentation and digital transformation.
During the visit, the Encyclopedia delegation was briefed on the Operational Image Center, one of the qualitative initiatives that reflects the Eastern Province Municipality’s direction towards employing modern technologies in city management, through an integrated operational system that relies on artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things, and contributes to supporting decision-making and raising the efficiency of urban performance.
The general supervisor of the Qupedia World Encyclopedia expressed his admiration for the technological development and advanced digital integration he witnessed in the Secretariat’s work system, stressing that this experience represents a pioneering national model in building smart cities, and is worthy of documentation and highlighting within the encyclopedia’s content at the local and global levels.
